Engineer for a Day(EFAD)
University of Cincinnati is proud to present the 13th Annual Engineer for a Day Program
E.F.A.D. APRIL 28, 2007
The National Society of Black Engineers - Cincinnati Alumni Extention (NSBE-CAE) & University of Cincinnati (NSBE- UC) cordially invites members of your group/organization to participate in our Engineer-For-A-Day (EFAD) programs. In the past, this program has been successful, however we have taken feed back from the participants of improved and the program to meet the intrest and needs of the students. We trust that this year will be even more successful. The students will have the oppurunity to work in groups with engineers from P&G, GE, Kroger, Toyota, Lohnson & Johnson and other students from across the community. This one day event is designed to help 150 students in grades 5-12 to learn effective problem-solving skills, discover what engineers really do, discuss how to become an engineer and learn about the roles African-Americans have played in this technical field.
EFAD will take place on Saturday, April 7, 2007, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the University of Cincinnati in Baldwin HAll. Transportation via school bus will be provided for students from the meeting place of the group/organization to UC and back if there are 5 or more students attending. The application and liability form will need to be completed, signed and returned no later than Saturday, April 7,2007.
The Cincinnati Alumni Extension and the University of Cincinnati Chapter of the Nation Society of Black Engineers will join resources to execute this year's EFAD programs. We anticipate that this will be a worthwhile experience for all who attend. We look foward to your presence and welcome any questions you have.
